One simply cannot go to Venice and skip out on riding a gondola or of course, eating lots of pasta. Riding a gondola may seem a bit touristy but it is an absolute MUST! It is one of the best ways to see all of Venice and really immerse yourself in its beauty. I just loved passing underneath the historic bridges and through the narrowest canals. It also gave me an incredible view of the beautiful architecture; it was like something out of a movie. I’ve been to the The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas multiple times with a “fake Venice”, but nothing compares to seeing the real thing.
I am back in all-white again for another gondola ride in Venice. Well it’s technically ivory so it’s more of an off-white!
When I travel, I think about my outfits in advance and I try to pack similar color palettes that are versatile so I can easily mix-and-match pieces. For my trip to Venice, I selected lots of pinks and pastels for my clothes and accessories because I find them to be very appropriate in the summertime. This flirty dress from Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini had pastel lace tiers and a pointed asymmetrical hem that flowed beautifully.
A city as unique as Venice was the perfect place for me to wear this long Peter Pilotto dress. The designers behind the brand are known for their dainty accents, creative graphic prints, and flair for color and this dress has it all.
This was my first trip to Venice, and to be honest, I wasn’t expecting for it to be as charming as it was. I loved everything about it! While I spent most of the time walking, I would occasionally hop on a water taxi or a gondola to get around the city. I don’t remember seeing a single car while wandering through the cobblestone streets—such a change from LA.
