Lately I’ve been obsessed with designer Simon Porte Jacquemus. This French designer understands that a woman needs to be able to go from beach-to-bar. I’m sure you’re familiar with his designs, his oversized straw hats have taken over Instagram and his teeny tiny bags redefine just how tiny a bag can be. I’m pretty sure the only thing that fits in that tiny bag is a piece of gum 😂
Known for his modern aesthetic and playful take on proportions, he is currently one of the most coveted designers. Aside from his collection of accessories, his ready-to-wear collection is the only thing you will need for your next vacay. Inspired by his life in the South of France, his dresses easily transition from day-to-night and are always fun to accessorize.
Most of what I packed for my weekend in Tulum was Jacquemus. I love how his dresses have an artful way of playing with draping and asymmetry. This ‘Spezzia’ cotton mini dress has a draped halter neckline and a flyaway panel hanging below the hem on one side. I paired it with high-heel sandals, an extra wide gold cuff, and the Jacquemus ‘La Bomba’ straw hat. The open back detail makes it sexy and summery while the hat adds so much drama (and protects you from sunburn 😉)
I was wearing:
Dress: Jacquemus
Bag: Jacquemus
Hat: Jacquemus
Sandals: Aquazzura
Earrings: Stvdio
Cuff: Artisans of IQ
