When getting ready for a day of back-to-back meetings in the city I like to choose streamlined looks that can easily be pulled together. I’m a bit too young for a traditional pantsuit/power suit, sorry Hilary 😬, so when it comes to looking professional I like to get a bit more creative with a blazer.
A professional/work outfit doesn’t have to be boring or complicated. A tailored blazer is obviously a no brainer when it comes to work style. It’s not only easy to wear, but it’s guaranteed to make all your outfits look more put together in seconds. I like to elevate my blazer by buckling, or knotting, a belt over it to create an instant form-fitting silhouette that accentuates the waist.
At times, an all black look can be quite boring so I mixed it up by adding a black and white giraffe print Burberry turtleneck underneath. If you know me, I like my classics with a twist so I chose a pair of trousers with center front slits to reveal my peep worthy checkered Celine mules underneath.
Replicate this look using pieces you already own and I am sure it will be a uniform you keep on repeat. You can even try the belted blazer over a dress or a skirt!
I was wearing:
Blazer: Zara
Belt: Isabel Marant
Turtleneck: Burberry
Pants: H&M
Shoes: Celine
Bag: Prada
