Okay, apparently fashionably late does NOT apply to the Elie Saab show…noted for next time, thanks! So I landed in Paris around 11:30am and estimated that I would arrive at the hotel around 1pm. This turned out to not be the case because the baggage claim belt was jammed and the luggage took much longer than expected to come out.
Little story: I ended up arriving at the hotel closer to 1:45/2pm and Elie Saab was at 3pm. The hair and makeup team were already waiting for me at the hotel so we worked quickly. I got to the show location around 3:20pm and fashion shows are notorious for starting 30 minutes late so I wasn’t too worried. But not this time…so I ended up missing one of my favorite shows! Although, Elie Saab had a crew of very handsome Frenchmen standing outside the entrance so that definitely softened the blow lol.
Regardless, this was still one of my favorite outfits I’ve ever worn. The look was all about classic style meets of-the-moment pieces. A tailored black suit is always a no-fail option because of its ease-of-wear and timelessness.
I paired my Alexander McQueen blazer that had sequin lapels with the prettiest top from Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. The details on this top are ridiculously beautiful — ruffled edges, delicate lace, sparkly rhinestones, and velvet bows. I carried my cute little velvet Rosantica bag to complete the look and threw on some sunnies from Saint Laurent.
I was wearing:
Blazer: Alexander McQueen
Top: Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini
Trousers: Alexander McQueen
Shoes: Saint Laurent
Sunglasses: Saint Laurent
