Mixing various patterns and textures is one of my favorite ways to give an outfit more depth and make it a bit more interesting! And yes, playing with patterns can be difficult as some combinations just don’t look good together. But for me, it’s not so much about the prints, but more about the color of the prints.
I mixed two small gingham prints in different color combinations. Both the coat and pants are from Zara which made the grid sizes of the gingham pattern work perfectly together. The coat has a very boxy and oversized silhouette so I tied this Isabel Marant belt to break up it up. Belting an outfit is also one of my favorite styling tricks to give your waist some definition and create a more polished look. To complete the outfit, I carried my new checkered Dior bag!
